I've been informed about a huge reunion of a great club I used to work at in Neptune, New Jersey called The Green Parrot. The Parrot was the official home of our crazy crew at FM 106.3 (WHTG) and was an oasis of great music, live and from the DJ booth, which is where I spent an awful lot of my time. Here's a few tunes that guaranteed an immediate swell on the dance-floor.

I used to go to the Parrot back in the mid to late 80's and saw many a great band there. 99% of the time it didn't cost me anything because I used to call in to win the tickets. Some of my favorites were Richard Barone, Grace Pool, Faith No More and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I was also there the night Springsteen played with Jah Love & the Survivors. Such a cool place, WHTG was such a cool station with the best crew; you, BCT, Rich Robinson, Loretta, Matty. You used to open your show with Zappa's Peaches en Regalia. Oh to be young and single again.

Mike, and old time Green Parrot maniac.and an HTG relic. I grew. Up on both 106.3 and The Parrot, and miss them both dearly! I have seen everyone at The Parrot from NIN, The Brotherhood, Book of Love, Flesh for Lulu, Social D, APB, The Screaming Tribesman. You name it, I was there. I wanted to drop you a line and tell you I greatly appreciate your insight and wisdom when it came to music. You delivered it without the pomp and circumstance that somehow seems to come along with today's music? Please stay in touch andletsreminiseabout the old times.Peace, Love, and Happiness!
