I recently finished "reading" the Townshed book... well I didn't really "read" it, I listened to Pete read it! This is how I survived the recent "Sandy" power outage without committing any acts of violence. I get very testy without power. I'm actually more of reader than a book "listener" - but this is the second musician's biography I have listened to read by the subject/author. Keith Richard's "Life" was the first, although Keith didn't read his entire book Johnny Depp and Joe Hurley did a hell of job with the rest. Check out the audio books of Pete here and Keith here.
It was a great listen and understandably put me in a bit of a Townshend listening frenzy, which I thought I would share with all of you today. These are some of the songs I had to hear during and after finishing the book. Enjoy!
To be continued...
Wow... so many things have been going on that I have really neglected this site. After toying with the idea of just letting it go I've decided to try and devote a bit more time to it, especially now that Baseball and the Election are in the rear view. There are a ton of records that have been released since the last post and a ton more that I've picked up to fill in collection holes. I'll spend the next couple of days giving you stuff to listen to.
Selling my CD collection.
