Although I truly believe every new day is bonus time, there are certain entries on the calendar that cause a personal shift in the atmosphere. The last day of Summer is a biggie in my world. A marker of time. When young it was “only 2 more Summers and I’m out of school,” whereas these days more “how many more Summers are left?” It’s not sadness but more melancholy, regardless of the year. A mood that perfectly fits the last of part of our Mixtape Series: A Jersey Shore Summer, #5 The End. A tone poem of just what I feel like this spin around the sun. Hope you enjoy it and that Spring gets here soon. DL
