Over the past month and a half I have been digging through my entire physical music library; cataloging, sorting and most daunting of all, boxing up not only the last 17 years of living in Maryland, but pretty much my entire adult life of employment, musical obsessions and projects.
Cleaning out the old home studio desk a treasure trove of memories were sparked through letters, documents, playlists and especially photos. Trust me, my long suffering wife has been absolutely correct in her often repeated mantra “You have way too much shit in this house!”
Then it happened. With the giant desk just about empty I freed a card of some kind from a crevice and it stopped me in my tracks. The mass card from the wake of J.T. -- James Theodore Theodoracopulos. J.T. was a beautiful guy in every way and a much too young casualty of Aids in the early 90s. J.T. was the guy who really played the first song in the history of FM 106.3 and we all loved him very much.
It inspired me to put this show together… and I have a feeling there will be a part 2 as soon as the new studio is ready.
Selling my CD collection.
