I’ve been stuck on this episode for a few extra days as I initially felt that a proper tribute to Mark Hollis would not be possible without breaking the DMCA. I hate being limited to how many songs can be played by one artist within a certain time period. With that in mind, I opted to present a range of artists that in my opinion come from the same sort of musical space as the brilliant Mark Hollis; The The, Japan, The Blue Nile, Prefab Sprout, Shearwater, Steve Winwood, Stomu Yamashta and Aztec Camera are all included. To break things up, there’s a new tune from Teenage Fanclub with related ephemera from Big Star, T. Rex, Owsley and more. Mark Hollis basically walked away from the music business to be a Dad, a feeling I can definitely relate to. He made music that managed to make a commercial dent but more importantly, left behind a unique sonic legacy that will quite easily outlast our lifetime. Thanks again for all the donations (and truly beautiful notes you have sent) to keep this show alive and moving forward. Your generosity has touched my soul.

Fantastic show Mike. It's easy to see the thought and love put into it. I'll mark it for pensive afternoon playbacks.
