From The Basement #37 December 2018
Episode #37 is sort of a mood piece recorded on the 28th anniversary of my Father’s passing. Just a few new things, including another track from the just released Decemberists EP. We make some beautiful Power Pop noise, slip in a bit of classy Jazz with Thelonious Monk, Count Basie and Frank Sinatra and round things out with a whole bunch of comfort food. This might be the last episode from this iteration of Mike’s Basement as we are moving out of state next week.

Good luck with the move Mike. Hope to hear you back on the air when you get settled. You're a beacon on a sometimes bleak landscape!!

Here’s hoping your move goes well and we’ll be hearing from you soon. Thoroughly have enjoyed every episode of From the Basement and hoping for more in one form or another. Happy Holidays and thank you so much.

So nice to hear the Comsats and especially this one. A long time fan of theirs since getting to see them in the early days in the UK (circa 1980-81) and watching them evolve through the three Polydor albums and then the Island album with its gorgeous production. Good ol' Robert Palmer.
