As if on a mission, episode #172 is quick to the finish line stuffed with only good intentions for proper distraction, hopefully containing your next earworm and a sense of calm should any urge to panic arise. Always expected a more understanding and open world if ever I managed to reach this age. Apparently it was not to be, even arriving at our front doorstep with an out of control, hate filled Trump loving neighbor. Currently hunkered down with added security cameras and Bond-like electronic trinkets, the studio is doubling as our panic room, really not much of a change for this kid as meals, dog stuff or needed supplies are the only reasons to consider leaving. On a brighter note, there are new things from The Smile, Margo Price, Kevin Morby, Steve Forbert's outstanding new album is featured, The Black Keys, the return of Lyle Lovett and The Black Crowes. Rerecorded classics from The Pineapple Thief are here, thanks to new drummer Gavin Harrison’s talent and attention to detail, and The Stones El Mocambo release is examined with joy. For some reason Tom Waits keeps popping up, perhaps due to the widely divergent cast including; The Dead Boys, Duke Ellington, The Clash, Chet Baker, The Cure, The Temptations, Bobbie Gentry, Fotomaker, Spooky Tooth, T. Rex, Bobby Gillespie, Lloyd Cole, Be Bop Deluxe, Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, Gary Myrick, The Shamen, Sea Wolf, Mercury Rev, The Babys, Rod Stewart, Argent, Toots Hibbert, The Upsetters, Eric Burdon and so much more. This is the last show before the donation link closes on 5/21, thanks to all we have reached our goal and I remain amazed and in debt to you. Thank you so much, I feel better than Sally Field and James Brown. https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8J91A5NivQ
