As we come to the end of this first month of a new year, the need to feel in control of at least some aspect of everyday life, a spark of some kind of inspiration leads FTB into a topic we feel worthy of sonic exploration. Asking the question, “If you were certain this was the last night of the world, what music would you play?” Yes, the Bruce Cockburn song chosen to start the program lit the fire, flipping a switch in a crowded but rapidly recovering brain. Aside from a bunch of new things, including Eels, Night Crickets, Simon Felice, North Mississippi Allstars, John Mayall (with Buddy Miller), Jethro Tull, Jack White, John Mellencamp, The Temptations 60th Anniversary and the Summer Of Soul Soundtrack and the first ever solo effort from legendary Motor City drummer Johnny "Bee" Badanjek at the age of 73 with “Johnny Bee and The Murder Hornets.” The rest of the 6 hour plus program attempts to answer the question and since there are no wrong answers, we can promise 2 things. It was worth it and we are in no way finished. Play along and send in your picks and we promise to get to them. Thanks for listening and your continued support.
