When deciding what to post today I knew this new Mark Lanegan album covers record would start it but all bets came off as soon as his new version of the classic Brecht/Weill song "Mack The Knife" was placed. A timeless classic that has been recorded by so many that I simply had to post a few others. Enjoy!
Can't believe I went more than a month without posting but I've been in dental reconstruction hell, as well as very busy at work. That said, here's a few new and old things that I've been cranking in the Basement Studio recently.
I've been waiting for this one... a bit different but I like it.
Here's a few mandatory tunes to start the weekend. Have fun, be safe and DON'T DRINK & DRIVE!!!!!
More to come over the weekend... Requests??????
I've been doing some stuff around the house (removing wallpaper) and engrossed in the start of the Baseball season so I've taken a bit of a blogging break but I'm back. Whenever I attempt any sort of "home improvement" project (which is extremely rare to begin with) the soundtrack is always Jazz. With that in mind, here's a small sample of the tracks that have been pumping through the home system for the past few days.
Not much time tonight but I was listening to this on the way home and realized that these two artists are without question the Beethoven and Mozart of America. Hundreds of years from now people will still be studying, playing and loving their work.
Selling my CD collection.
