A Bunch Of New Things
Trigger Hippy is a powerful, soul-infused rock and roll band founded by Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman featuring twin lead vocals from multi-platinum recording artist Joan Osborne and singer-songwriter Jackie Greene who also plays guitar and keyboards. Rounding out the group are lead guitarist Tom Bukovac, who co-produced the EP with the band, and bassist Nick Govrik.

Speaking of voices I love... Justin is one of the best singers of the last 3 decades. From the pre-uppercase days of del amitri, his magnificent vocals always stop me in my tracks. This new one is no exception. You really need to hear him live to fully appreciate the range and timbre of his voice. He knows how to write 'em pretty good too. One of the best "sad bastard" artists when he wants to be.
Ryley Walker is a 24 year-old singer/songwriter and guitarist from Chicago. His debut album, All Kinds Of You, will be released worldwide via Tompkins Square on April 15th, 2014. Having kicked around Chicago’s experimental free/noise music scene for several years, Ryley recently turned to a folk-rock sound inspired by some of his heroes, among them Tim Hardin, Tim Buckley, and Bert Jansch. The result is a poised and accomplished debut album, recorded in Chicago by Cooper Crain (guitarist/keyboardist in Cave). Click the album art for more info from my dear old pal Josh.
