Have an absolutely beautiful rest of your life.
Can't believe I went more than a month without posting but I've been in dental reconstruction hell, as well as very busy at work. That said, here's a few new and old things that I've been cranking in the Basement Studio recently.
It's been 21 years since my Dad passed and yet every year at this time I still get sad. Father's Day was always a marker of both our Birthdays, mine on June 20 and his on June 22. If like me, you have lost your Dad I suggest a box of tissues before playing this song, written and recorded by Peter Himmelman the night his Father passed.
This was my Father's favorite song... the great Coleman Hawkins.
This one always reminds me of my Dad, he really loved Francis Albert. This version was discovered when they were putting The Capitol Years box together, it was recorded the night before the session with Frank and the piano player working out the arrangement.
Many have asked how to keep the From The Basement programs afloat, especially now that I am unemployed. Please donate via PayPal below whatever you feel you can afford to help cover my costs. Thank you.
