Every year at this time I go into a semi-deep funk and I don't mean that in a good way.  You see, I am a Baseball fanatic with absolutely no interest in any other sport.  Although a die-hard Yankee fan, I still remain riveted throughout the post-season even if they are eliminated.  There is also an impending sense of doom with the end of season as it signals the start of Winter which I always dread.  Dick Manitoba (Handsome Dick of the legendary Dictators) has perfectly summed up my feelings in this excellent blog post  which is required reading for any of you that find yourself in similar state of mind.

I've been informed about a huge reunion of a great club I used to work at in Neptune, New Jersey called The Green Parrot.  The Parrot was the official home of our crazy crew at FM 106.3 (WHTG) and was an oasis of great music, live and from the DJ booth, which is where I spent an awful lot of my time.   Here's a few tunes that guaranteed an immediate swell on the dance-floor.
